I have the sneaking feeling that this legacy isn't as good as the Blakes, but alas, they're gone...
Anyway, legacy. I've been missing for a while because of NaNoWriMo and then finals, so sorry, but hey, I don't seem to have much of an audience so no one will be mad at me! At least this is still technically in January so it's only been...3 months. I suck.
So I have a confession to make: I took all these pictures back in November, and while I remember pretty well what was going on, I'm a bit fuzzy on names and the like. Man, is this a triumphant return or what?
Anyway.
When we last saw the Morleys, they'd moved to a new house, and had a bunch of children. Also Tom was hot and awesome, and Blanche flashed her tits like whoa.

( Cut for cussing, sim!boobs (as per usual), TOO MUCH CAPSLOCK and some kind of poor narration )

Oh man, I was going to post this like 20 hours ago but I got on
Also, I did end up using Photobucket for this because Imageshack was giving me crap, so if the photos don't show for someone, let me know and I'll reupload them tomorrow.
ANYWAY!

Last time: I started a new Rainbow Legacy and it took forever to get my founder a man, but I finally managed it, and left the readers in suspense about her spawn!

Remember how I said I was going to do this next week? I got stoked about it and did it now instead. YEP!

So yeah, already we're off to an amazing start, as I spell my founder's name and the title of the legacy wrong IN THE VERY FIRST PICTURE. I R SMART I R IN COLLAGE FOR REALS.
*headesk*
( Under the cut there is cursing, sim!boobies (a lot of sim!boobies) and overuse of italics and all caps! )
Next time: Kids! At least six, because I want to permaplat Tom!

I think instead of doing massive family infodumps I'm going to just do a different type of infodump on these three ladies living on their own in an apartment complex Downtown (which in my game is called Maiden City),

( We'll stay inside til somebody finds us, do whatever the TV tells us )
So on another note, I've mentioned recently that I've been getting pretty bored with my game lately. I'm thinking that the best way to combat that is to start a legacy...which might be a terrible plan given that I also want to do NaNoWriMo and pass my classes, but I miss working on the Blakes, and I can always spend some time between updates for a while. Hopefully this time I can manage to stick with the legacy for a while...anyway, that'll probably start sometime next week, and I believe it will be a rainbow legacy. Yep. Keep your eyes open?

Sorry about the last post, it was an overdramatic bummer of an entry. This one is a lot happier and less overwrought!
Let me just start with some background- I try to keep my game mostly grounded in the real world.I have a single non-NPC witch, but there are no zombies, vampires, or plantsims, and if I had the proper EP's there would also be no servos or werewolves. I don't use most of the more fantastic objects (cowplants, magic lamps, etc) and the careers where you become a space pirate or whatever mostly kind of annoy me. This is, by the way, nothing against the people who do use these elements in their games, I just happen to not be that into it.
But I guess my game is closest to a comic in tone, because I definately have mutants, aliens, and the occasional superhero.
That said, here are two very old sims of mine who fall squarely into the comic book category: Kaori and Josephine Ellis.

So the proposed overview of Sam and Nadjia Carr's college friends is not going to happen. I'm a little bummed about the reason why, actually, which is that Seth Carraway, featured briefly in this post (under the Carraway section) was a part of that group, and is now glitched so badly that I've had to delete him from the game. This sucks, I liked him.
Anyway, this is not going to be a happy entry, because this weekend I decided to play Garrett McMurphy's household through to the bitter end.

Let me just say really fast, my last sim is up for the September Sim Challenge on GOS, she's right here. I like her a lot. She's got a very long Russian name.
Ok so, sims!
First, there have been some aging ups in the Carr household. Marie and Leo are old now. They are kind of adorable, and even more adorable is the massive birthday party they threw, inviting all of their children plus their children's significant others, plus (plus!) Annie and her kids. It was kind of awesome and reminded me a lot of my own family's massive gatherings for birthdays and the like.
( Vintage Carrs (oh god when I named these guys I had no idea what magical punning possibilities I'd created) )

First off, apparently Tinypic.com is a douche, and so is their parent company Photobucket. I know a bunch of other people have mentioned this so I'll just link to
rocking_kitty 's post about it, as s/he does a good job of summarizing and offering links about alternatives. I usually use imageshack anyway, but if any of my pictures aren't viewable to non-Americans, let me know and I'll move them. Needless to say Photobucket and its' subsidiaries are no longer going to be hosting anything of mine.
Second, I might abandon my 60 Sims project. I'm busy as hell right now, and I am in fact participating in the GOS Sim Challenge, which I didn't think I was going to do when I started this project. Since there's probably going to be a lot of overlap with the words it might get sort of redundant, and Iike I said, it's kind of a lot of work to do 10-14 sims per month, roughly (I know there are some people who've done 25, and they...are much better/faster simmers than me).
So I guess unless there's a vast outcry, I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm still going to try and update once a week, but it'll be just sim backgrounds and/or random info, and at a certain point, depending on classes next semester, I might try and do a legacy again. Maybe.
Hopefully I haven't let anyone down, but I doubt anyone is seriously invested in a silly little simming project anyway!
Lastly, speaking of the Sim Challenge, I have my entries up here (Zero, Vert, and Kali) and here (Portrait, Cordate, Aquaphobia, and Silk). All sims have download links and are uploaded with all CC. I'm going to post once more with my last sim, and then I'm done with the challenge for September!
That's it for me, tune in next time for some further Carr talk (hur hur I kill me)

Ok, backgrounds.
So I mentioned when I did the Piccoult family, Annie and her kids, that Annie had an older sister.
Well, this is her:

Her name is Marie.

This isn't the sim background post for the week, but I was playing Garrett and Cynthia McMurphy's household this weekend.
Cynthia died, guys. And it was totally depressing.
